This project explores how the institutional ecosystem of regional human rights courts can support courts in a situation of attack. It provides an innovative comparative analysis of the challenges and adaptations of regional human rights institutions from two distinct conceptual vantage points: backlash and resilience.

The Economic Law of Migrants: A Comparative, European, and International Law Investigation of Remittances

This postdoctoral reserach project explores how law structures migrants' participation in economic affairs, particularly through remittances, by analyzing regulations across multiple legal frameworks, examining regulatory interactions and gaps, and developing a theory of transnational economic democracy that connects migrants' economic contributions to their political representation.

The MIRO project aimed at identifying and interpreting international legal obligations regarding ‘missing migrants’ and accordingly critique and shape the practices of the EU, its Member States, and pertinent international organisations.

RefMig: Refugees Are Migrants (2018-2024)

The RefMig project aimed to re-examine the refugee regime through the lens of mobility and migration. It was a collaborative project based at Hertie School's Centre for Fundamental Rights and the Refugee Studies Centre, University of Oxford. The project was a Horizon 2020 award funded by the European Research Council.
