During the last weeks, we welcomed the new Chair of our Supervisor Board Annette Schavan as well as the Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billström, and we celebrated gender equity.
Last month saw some exciting guests, travels to places close and far, and our ongoing celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the Hertie School:
- We welcomed Annette Schavan as the new head of the Board of the Hertie Foundation, our founder, long-standing partner and funder;
- We celebrated our 20th anniversary with the event “Too smart to regulate? How AI challenges good governance”, jointly hosted by the Data Science Lab and the Centre for Digital Governance;
- Sweden's Minister of Foreign Affairs Tobias Billström discussed Sweden's NATO accession and security policy in the Baltic with our students and community;
- Professor of International and Cyber Security Anita Gohdes won the Goldsmith Book Prize presented by Harvard University;
- Our first all-female team of five Master of Data Science for Public Policy students travelled to Mannheim for DataFest Germany – and brought back the award for "Best Usage of Outside Data";
- We introduced the Gender Equality Plan 2024/2025;
- and much more!
