Didem Özkiziltan is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Hertie School, currently working in the project ‘Governing work in the knowledge-based economy’, led by Anke Hassel. Previously she held a Marie Skłodowska Curie postdoctoral fellowship at Freie Universitaet Berlin. Didem earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Labour Economics and Industrial Relations from Dokuz Eylül University, Turkey. She holds a PhD and a Master of Research from the University of Bath, Department of Social and Policy Sciences. Her doctoral research investigated historical continuity of insecurity for labour as an embedded rationale in Turkey’s industrial relations. Her current research focuses on precarity in labour markets and impacts of digitalisation on the world of work. She has previously published in Journal of Development Studies, Industrial Relations Journal and International Labor and Working-Class History.
