Harald Fuhr is Professor Emeritus of International Politics at the University of Potsdam. He is currently managing a research project on institutional adjustments towards low-carbon development in emerging economies and is a Co-Director of the Potsdam Center for Policy and Management. He acted as spokesperson for the DFG Research Training Group “Wicked Problems, Contested Administration” at the University of Potsdam from 2011 to 2019. Prior to this, he was Vice President of the University of Potsdam and worked as Sr. Public Sector Management Specialist at the World Bank, Washington, DC. A political scientist and economist by training (University of Konstanz), he has taught at several universities and has also carried out numerous assignments as an advisor to the Federal Ministry for Economic Co-operation and Development (BMZ), GIZ, the World Bank, UNDP and the OECD’s Development Center. His current research activities focus on governance issues in developing countries, international development and global climate politics. He has been teaching regularly at the Hertie School since the fall semester of 2020.
