You’ve officially accepted your place as a Hertie student – now what?
It might feel overwhelming planning your move, beginning the visa application process, finding a flat, and trying to understand the notorious German bureaucracy while preparing to begin your master’s programme. Not to worry, we’ve helped many students like yourself and are here to support you every step of the way.
Our team is working hard to present you with the Berlin Bound webinar series, beginning in May and running throughout the summer. The series will consist of a total of seven webinars including sessions on moving to Berlin, learning German, student community, and an introduction to core courses by programme with a professor or instructor. Find the full schedule of events below.
- 15 May: Sneak Peek into Public Management with Dean Prof. Thurid Hustedt (for incoming MPP students)
- 27 May: Sneak Peek into International Law with Postdoctoral researcher, Silvia Steiniger (for incoming MIA students)
- 30 May: Moving to Berlin Part I
- 6 June: Sneak Peek into Introduction to Data Science with Prof. Simon Munzert (for incoming MDS students)
- 13 June: Moving to Berlin Part II
- 26 June: Campus Life and Student Community
- 10 July: Learning German
Each of these events addresses key questions that we receive from incoming students past and present and aims to provide you with the information and support you need to confidently move to Berlin and start your programme at the Hertie School.
If you plan to attend, please register using the form on the page of each event. If you cannot access the form, please write me an email at s.fisher[at]hertie-school[dot]org. We look forward to seeing you there!
