Claudia Zwar is a PhD researcher at the Hertie School. Her research is focussed on the political economy of climate policymaking, and in particular the role of institutions. She also explores these issues as part of the Ariadne project, which advises the German government on how to achieve its climate goals. Claudia’s background is in management consulting for the public sector – she was previously a Senior Consultant in Nous Group’s London office. She has also held positions at the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies, and adelphi (a climate change think tank). Claudia holds a first class BA degree in History and English from the University of Oxford and a Master of Public Policy from the Hertie School, where she focused on climate policy, energy and sustainability economics, and data science.
