Monika Sus is a professor of political science at the Institute of Political Studies at the Polish Academy of Sciences (Warsaw, Poland) as well as an adjunct and fellow at the Center for International Security at the Hertie School (Berlin, Germany). In 2016 – 2017, she was a Jean Monnet Fellow at the Robert Schuman Center for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute in Florence (Italy), where she has remained affiliated as a fellow ever since. Her research interests lie in international relations, in particular in the study of the institutional dynamics of overlapping security regimes in Europe, including questions of policy change, the role of informality in shaping policies, and the dynamics of inter-organisational cooperation. Her work has been published in various academic journals such as "International Affairs", “West European Politics”, "Journal of Common Market Studies", "Contemporary Security Policy", "Journal of European Integration", "The British Journal of Politics and International Relations", "Geopolitics", "Global Policy", "International Politics" and "Futures. The journal of policy, planning and futures studies". She is also a regular commentator for European media outlets and a member of Team Europe Direct Poland.
