Dr. Katharina Gnath is Senior Project Manager at the Bertelsmann Stiftung. She is an expert on European and international economic governance and currently focuses on the governance of the euro zone and the political economy of economic reforms in Europe. She previously held fellow positions at Stiftung Neue Verantwortung and the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) in Berlin and was a member of the "Think 20" advisory team of the Australian G20 Presidency in 2014. After her studies Katharina Gnath was a trainee at the European Central Bank in Frankfurt and has taught several courses on EU governance and international macroeconomics in the master´s program at the Hertie School. Katharina holds a PhD from the Berlin Graduate School for Transnational Studies, a joint doctoral programme of the Hertie School, the Free University Berlin, and the Berlin Social Science Research Centre (WZB). She studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University and holds a Master’s degree in European Politics from the London School of Economics (LSE).
