Kai Foerster holds a Master of Science in economics from the University of Warwick, where he also completed his undergraduate studies in philosophy, politics, and economics. At the Hertie School, he studied data science for public policy, specialising in deep learning and sustainable development. He worked at the European Central Bank and RWI - Leibniz Institute for Economic Research on financial stability and international development. He also has experience working for the European Parliament and civil society organisations, including Hanns Seidel Foundation India, Südwind e.V. and Project Access UK. He is interested in opportunities where he can apply data science for the public good.
