Filip Pazderski is a lawyer and sociologist. After his studies at the University of Warsaw, he also graduated from the European Master’s Degree Programme in Human Rights and Democratisation (E.MA) in Venice. He is a Senior Policy Analyst and Head of the Democracy and Civil Society Programme of the Institute of Public Affairs (a Warsaw-based non-partisan think tank), where he works on civil society, civic education, public participation, quality of democracy, elections and rule of law. Filip carried out research and wrote reports for institutions like the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, the European Economic and Social Committee, International IDEA, the Open Society European Policy Institute (OSEPI), the National Democratic Institute (NDI), the Office of the Senate of the Republic of Poland, the Polish Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and the Educational Research Institute. He is also a Vice President of the European Civic Forum (ECF), a European network of over 100 civic organisations and a consultant to the Council of Europe in the field of civic education and participation.
