Dion Stevers is a PhD candidate at the Hertie School’s Centre for Digital Governance broadly interested in digital communication and comparative politics. Currently, his research looks at the relationship between legacy media and new media in shaping and framing political issues, with a special focus on contemporary China.
Dion holds a BSc in Psychobiology from the University of Amsterdam, a BA in China Studies from Leiden University, and an MSc in Contemporary Chinese Studies from the University of Oxford. With a background in both sciences and humanities, he sees value in reconciling knowledge and methods from various disciplines. Apart from reading and writing, Dion enjoys watching movies, good conversations, and playing music.
