The climate policy enthusiast talks about how her classes at Hertie prepared her for her role at the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
Lisa Schmid moved to Berlin to be closer to politics. During her time as a Master of Public Policy student at the Hertie School, she found her passion for climate policy while studying under Professor Christian Flachsland, through whom she found her first position in the field of climate policy at a climate think tank.
During last year’s alumni reunion, we spoke to her about her path from the Hertie School to her current position as Policy Officer at the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action, her advice to current and incoming Hertie School students, and her favourite part of living in Berlin.
