The new partnership expands scholarships, loans and tuition support for Brazilians pursuing graduate study in Berlin.
Berlin, 19 September 2025. The Hertie School is proud to announce that it has signed a cooperation agreement with Instituto Trajetórias in São Paulo. The partnership expands aid opportunities for talented Brazilian students to pursue a master’s degree at the Hertie School.
Starting from the 2026–2027 Academic Year, Brazilian students enrolled in one of the Hertie School’s master’s programmes will be able to apply for aid through Instituto Trajetórias. Assistance may include scholarships of up to USD 20,000, additional grants of up to USD 10,000 for living and relocation costs, and subsidised loans of up to USD 30,000. Additionally, students taking part in the programme will receive a 25% reduction in tuition fees at the Hertie School.
Instituto Trajetórias will also work with partners in Brazil to support students’ reintegration into the Brazilian job market after their studies. Instituto Trajetórias is supported by the Latin American foundations Fundação Lemann and VélezReyes+, as well as by the Brazilian national and subnational governments.

For over 20 years, the Hertie School has been teaching, researching and communicating on issues of policymaking and good governance in the heart of Berlin.
