The Professor of International and Cyber Security has been named the newest member of the Advisory Board.
The Advisory Board to the Federal Government for Civilian Crisis Prevention and Peacebuilding has appointed Professor Anita Gohdes as a new Board member. The twenty members of the Advisory Board come from academia and civil society and serve a four-year term.
Created as part of the adoption of the “Civilian Crisis Prevention” action plan and first appointed in 2005, the Advisory Board provides expert advice to government ministries, develops independent policy recommendations, and fosters dialogue with the public. It also monitors the implementation of the crisis guidelines and contributes to their ongoing refinement.
“It is a great honour to join the Advisory Board for Civilian Crisis Prevention and Peacebuilding of the German government,” Prof. Gohdes stated and underlined, “I look forward to contributing towards the board’s work, in particular on the topics of hybrid warfare, digital rights, and the new rise of authoritarianism across the world.”
