Over 150 alumni and students came together to enjoy an evening of networking and reconnecting with old friends.
On Friday, 19 September, the Hertie School community gathered for the yearly Berlin Chapter Summer Party on the rooftop of a beer garden in Kreuzberg. Berlin Chapter leads Manuel Clemens, Sascha Al Dahouk, and Ximena Docarmo welcomed new students to the city and introduced some of the planned chapter activities for the new academic year. Students seized the opportunity to talk to alumni and learn about their career paths. Following an informal networking game, several of the most prolific conversationalists were awarded small prizes. Others spent a relaxing time in the afternoon sun while catching up with former classmates.
Boasting over 1,300 members, the Berlin Alumni Chapter is the biggest in the Hertie School’s global network of 22 chapters and local groups. This vibrant community brings together alumni hailing from around the world, offering social and professional events and opportunities, including participation in policy-focussed interest groups. For the upcoming academic year, the chapter has a full calendar of events planned, including regular brunches and Stammtisch gatherings, walking tours, visits to Christmas markets, and more. Many of these events are also open to current students, fostering stronger connections between students and alumni.
Other chapters and local groups in our gobal community include Amsterdam, Bogotá, Brussels, Boston, Frankfurt, Geneva, London, Madrid, Milan, Mexico City, New Delhi, New York, Paris, Rhineland, Rome, São Paulo, South Germany, Toronto, Vienna, Washington, D.C. and the Pan-African Network, the latest addition to the fold.
