Florian Winkler holds a Master of Science in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU). He is currently an Associate at PUBLIC, driving digital innovation in international development and foreign policy. Prior to his MDS, Florian worked at the German Embassy in Washington DC, at the German development agency GIZ and the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi). He has also gained professional experience at the Permanent Mission of Germany to the United Nations, the German Bundestag and the Federal Press Office of the German government. At the Hertie School, Florian specialised in the use of machine learning and earth observation to promote sustainable development.
