Malte Spielmann (he/him) holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Law from the University of Münster and a Master of Laws in Human Rights, Conflict and Justice from SOAS University of London. At the Hertie School Malte studied public policy, specialising in management and organisation with a particular focus on human rights advocacy and digital policy. During his master's studies, he worked part-time as a Student Assistant at the Berlin office of the Max-Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law (MPIL). In his second year, Malte competed with the Hertie School team in the Jessup 2022 International Law Moot Court, winning the German championship. He also served for two years as a member of the student advisory board of the Hertie Centre for Fundamental Rights.
