Driss Köhler holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Governance across Borders with a specialisation in European studies from the University of Münster and the University of Twente. As part of his undergraduate studies, he spent a semester at Hanyang University in Seoul. At the Hertie School, Driss studied international affairs and focused on international security. Prior to his graduate studies, he spent a year interning for a Member of Parliament’s office in the German Bundestag, as well as for a consulting firm. Throughout his years at the Hertie School, Driss continued working in consulting, focusing on public affairs mandates, before joining a transatlantic think tank to work on multilateral cooperation in trade and technology.
