Maria Kipp holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and International Organisations from the University of Groningen. At the Hertie School she studied public policy, specialising in social policy. Between her two degrees she worked for seven years in the field of migration and integration in Berlin. During her Professional Year she worked in the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in the G7 project team and continued to work part-time for the ministry during the second year of her master's studies, in the area of forced labour. Maria is particularly interested in opportunities in public administration and the non-profit sector, in the area of migration and integration at the German or European level.
