Austin Davis (he/him) is a Berlin-based journalist covering German and European politics and society. He has written or produced pieces for a variety of publications including The Washington Post, USA Today, Die Zeit, NPR, The Telegraph, The Globe and Mail, New York Magazine, Deutsche Welle and Netflix. His policy interests have also led to roles as a researcher, communications specialist and project associate for organisations including Democracy Reporting International, the German Federal Foreign Office and the Alliance of Democracies Foundation. Austin grew up near Detroit, Michigan. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and German from the University of Michigan. At the Hertie School, Austin studied international affairs with a concentration in EU Governance.
