Tianlei Zhao holds a double degree from the Australian National University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and a Bachelor of Asia Pacific Security. At the Hertie School he studied public policy, specialising in public management as well as digital governance. During his Professional Year, Tianlei worked as a Junior Specialist at the Global Project Quality Infrastructure of the German development agency GIZ. His other professional experience includes management consultancy at Dubai Business Associates and business development at Aquis Australia. Currently, Tianlei works at the International Electrotechnical Commission in Geneva as a Governance Officer, working on technological standardisation and strategy development. Tianlei is particularly interested in areas such as public management, AI governance and international trade.
