Svenja Wanner is specialised in social entrepreneurship, international development and management. Prior to attending the Hertie School, she completed a dual degree with the European University of Applied Science and Hong Kong Baptist University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Management while also working in the private sector and later for the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Afterwards, she worked in public sector consulting with PD - Berater der öffentlichen Hand, in economic affairs with the UN as well as private sector development with the German development agency GIZ in Nairobi. Her work in Kenya inspired her to research on the competitiveness of female tech-entrepreneurs in Nairobi for her thesis. Following her graduation, she is joining McKinsey & Company as a Management Consultant.
