Sofia Fabiancic holds a Bachelor of Arts in French and Italian Philology from Freie Universität Berlin. At the Hertie School, she specialised in security and sustainability within her MIA studies. Parallel to her MIA, Sofia worked for UNESCO’s field office in Peru, alongside the Education Sector team. Upon finishing the internship, she remained on the team as a consultant investigating intercultural bilingual education policies as part of the knowledge-generating mission of UNESCO. This research is also the focus of her master’s thesis. Previous work experience includes an internship at UNICEF Brazil and at the Delegation of the European Union to Venezuela in Caracas. Sofia is looking forward to further career opportunities in the international development cooperation sector.
