Nia Kapitanova holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language from Georgia State University. She completed a dual degree with the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, earning a Master of Arts in International Relations. At both the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and the Hertie School, she focused on foreign policy and security studies. During her summer internship, Nia was a Research Assistant for the European Neighbourhood Council, focussing on EU private sector investments in Central Asia. Her other professional experience includes working as a Spanish Analyst in the United States and as an English Teaching Assistant in Bulgaria as a Fulbright Scholar. Nia is interested in opportunities in foreign policy and diplomacy at the European and national level, as well as in the United States.
