Melissa Medina-Márquez (she/her) holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin. At the Hertie School, she studied public policy and specialised in data-driven policy analysis, focusing on migration, sustainability and governance. During her Professional Year, Melissa worked at the Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development of the United Nations System Staff College, where she supported knowledge brokering activities for the successful implementation of the 2030 Agenda. Her previous professional experience includes working as a Research Assistant for the LATINNO project Innovations for Democracy in Latin America at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center and advocacy work focusing on the Venezuelan crisis at the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA).
