Mara Schmidt-Burkhardt holds an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts and Sciences from University College London, majoring in international politics and a dual degree with Bocconi University, graduating with a Master of Science in Economics and Management of Government and International Organisations. During her Professional Year, she worked with the German Marshall Fund of the United States on the intersection of migration and AI and later with Bolmeyer & Sanz, where she continued working part-time during her studies as a Consultant and Project Evaluator for EU bodies and the Council of Europe. Additionally, her professional experience includes working with social start-ups, NGOs and charity organisations. She is passionate about critical international relations theory, international security and social justice topics and enjoys speaking multiple languages in her work environment.
