Manisha Mathai holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Sociology from St. Joseph's College of Arts and Science, India. She also holds a Masters of Science in Economics with a major in development studies from Symbiosis International, India. At the Hertie School, she studied public policy with a special focus on public management and health governance. Manisha's professional experience includes work on policy programmes proposed by the government of India in the fields of health, rural development, women and child welfare and poverty studies. Additionally, she also has some experience working with NGOs on the monitoring and evaluation of their social programmes. Manisha is interested in social policy, particularly on the intersection between gender and health policies.
