Jan Kleiner (he/him) holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from the University of Erfurt. At the Hertie School he studied international affairs, specialising in international relations as well as energy and climate policies. During his time at the Hertie School, Jan worked as a Working Student for the public sector consultancy PD – Berater der öffentlichen Hand and the German development agency GIZ where he focused on international hydrogen policy. His other professional experience includes internships at KfW, the German Federal Foreign Office and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. Jan is particularly interested in opportunities in the private energy sector, international cooperation and energy policy at the European and national level.
