Hyebin Hong holds a Bachelor of Arts in German Language and Literature and Political Science and Diplomacy from Chungnam National University in South Korea. At the Hertie School she studied policy analysis, with a special focus on artificial intelligence and digital governance. During her studies, she worked as an intern at the Secretariat of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) at the OECD. Her other professional experience includes working as an Administrative Officer at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. She also worked on the human capacity-building programme at an NGO in Ethiopia. Hyebin is particularly interested in working toward bridging the gap between ethics and best practices of cutting-edge technology.
