Hashem Krayem holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Mathematics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. Prior to joining the Hertie School, he worked in financial consulting and credit risk modelling. While pursuing an MPP, he focused on topics of policy analysis, sustainability and development as well as international law. Hashem became the first Hertie School student to win the German National Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition two years in a row in 2022. He was also ranked as one of top 10 oralists worldwide by the International Law Student Association. In his Professional Year, he worked as a Strategy Consultant for Accenture's public sector division. In addition, he completed an academic exchange with the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University.
