Håkon Benedikt Harnes holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin where he graduated in 2018. At the Hertie School, he studied public policy with a focus on management and organisation. During his master's studies, he worked as an Assistant in the Government Affairs department at Siemens from 2019 till 2021. His previous professional experience is as a Political Consultant and as a Trainee at the Norwegian Embassy in Berlin. He also worked as an Assistant in the Visitors’ Service of the German Bundestag from 2016 till 2017 and the Public Affairs department of the German Bundestag from 2017 till 2018. Håkon is particularly interested in opportunities in public diplomacy, foreign affairs and public management.
