Elena Liotta worked as a science educator after receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy with a minor in Biological Anthropology and Anatomy from Duke University and a Master of Arts in Education from Brooklyn College. She taught in New York City, Hong Kong and Berlin before undertaking the Executive MPA at the Hertie School. Alongside teaching, Elena has also pursued writing in the form of creative non-fiction essays and copywriting. The text analysis component of her master’s thesis helped her to acquire some coding skills, adding R to the list of languages for which she has a degree of proficiency and continues to develop. She is interested in public and social innovation efforts and is looking to explore how her skill set can be applied in this field.
