Dhouha Djerbi graduated from the American University of Paris with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Gender Studies with departmental honours. As a student of public policy, she engaged with questions at the nexus of feminised labour, labour unions and the gendered dimensions of austerity policies in North Africa. She served as Gender Advisor during her Professional Year with the German development agency GIZ's office to the African Union in Addis Ababa, where she focused on addressing gender blindness in infrastructure planning. She has been admitted to a PhD programme in political science and international relations and at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva.
