Within the framework of this two-day seminar, academics, policymakers and practitioners from business and civil society addressed the tranformation of global governance in view of the tectonic changes in the patterns of interdependence and geopolitical changes impacting both advanced and emerging countries. They also discussed the challenges for the governance of digital networks at the global level, in particular in the Internet era, in view of the relevant actors and the rapidly changing environment. The conference was followed by a keynote by Caroline Atkinson (Peterson Institute for International Economics).
Following the recommendations that came out of the discussion, a policy brief will be published. The take-aways from previous HLPDs held within the context of the Transformation of Global Governance project can be found here.
