Now Open: Applications for Fall 2026

On your mark, get set, apply! Starting today, 1 October 2025 until 1 May 2026, we will accept applications for our Master of Public Policy, Master of International Affairs and Master of Data Science for Public Policy programmes. Successful candidates will start their studies at the Hertie School in September 2026.

Please read the below carefully to understand the application deadline that is best for you.

Application deadlines 2025-2026

Early Bird – 1 December - Students who apply by this deadline will receive a discount of 2,000 from their tuition fees.

Priority Deadline I – 15 January - Students who require a visa to enter Germany and who wish to apply for partial and/or full scholarships should plan to apply by this deadline.

Priority Deadline II – 15 February - Student who do not require a visa to enter Germany and who wish to apply for partial and/or full scholarships should plan to apply by this deadline.

Final Deadline – 1 May - This is your last opportunity to apply for Fall 2025 entry.

*Kindly note that our Executive Master of Public Administration follows a different set of deadlines – the priority deadline and the final deadline are 1 June and 1 August, 2026, respectively.   

Regardless of our new application deadlines, we will continue to evaluate applications and deliver admissions decisions on a rolling basis.

Additionally, our funding application continues to be separate from programme admissions. Only admitted students will receive the funding application and instructions to apply for funding after receiving their admissions decision. Complete information on that process can be found on our blog.
